Cyber Threat ProtectionWeston is always looking to improve products and services so that we can secure and serve you better. In that spirit, we are moving to a new Security Awareness Training platform. The product that we chose for security awareness training is from Huntress, the company who we already use to help protect your desktops, laptops, and Office365.

This phishing training will run all the time and each month it will send 1-2 emails to each user of your organization based on what the Huntress team has seen as some of the latest phishing attempts in the wild. If your users ignore the email or delete it, they will be none the wiser. If they click on a link or attachment, the system will tell them they fell for phishing training, be given an overview of what to look out for, and then they’ll be assigned a 5-10 minute training appropriate for the type of phishing they fell for.

We will also be pushing out a “Report a Phish” button to your Outlook toolbar that allows your team to report any email they think is a phishing attempt.

If it is one of our scheduled training events, they will be praised for catching it. If it is an actual phishing attempt, they will be thanked for reporting, and it will be reported to Huntress to help with future training and to be scanned for security threats.

The main client contact will be notified if users click on something and if they have not completed a training in a specified period of time. They will also get a report monthly of what emails were sent out, if anyone clicked on anything, and if training was completed. We think that you will find this reporting much easier to understand and more robust than our previous phishing training vendor.
